THESE wonderful photographs show Sussex is the perfect place to take photographs.
From the much-pictured piers at Brighton, Worthing and Eastbourne to the first flowers of spring, the Argus Camera Club has started 2018 much like it finished last year – taking great shots.
We have had some very stormy weather and Argus picture editor Allan Hutchings loved the way Daren Trafford captured the waves crashing against the harbour wall at Newhaven.
He is among the contenders to win our monthly prize of £50, following from last month’s winner Daniel Yates.
Argus editor Arron Hendy said: “We will be working on gathering shots on a theme this year, but we already had such a great range that we wanted to show them all off today before we choose our January winner.
“Of course there is still time to join the club and send in your entry for January.
“For February our competition theme will be piers and other architectural structures.”
The Argus Camera Club is for all amateur photographers who want to share their pictures of Brighton, Hove and Sussex.
As the community builds, we hope members will offer one another tips and advice, join our projects and enter competitions.
By posting in the group you consent to The Argus using the photos in our respective publications, websites and social media channels.
This is not a group for professional photographers and we do not accept commissions for paid-for work through the group.
We ask that you only post images which you hold the copyright for.
