A MAN stole £7,000 worth of jewellery from a family home.

The owner of the house in Chichester Close, Crawley, returned to her home at 3.45pm on Tuesday to find the man in her garden.

The victim attempted to approach him but he jumped over the garden fence.

She later realised four bridal sets and her gold band wedding ring with a floral design had been stolen.

Police described the man as mixed race, 5ft 7 in, of large build and with dark hair. He was wearing a grey hooded top, grey jogging bottoms and white trainers.
