A SERVICE providing support for unpaid carers is now live.

The Carers Hub launched yesterday in Brighton for those who need advice to make their work of caring for family members or friends easier.

Set up by the charity Brighton and Hove Carers Centre, the hub has a phone number and website for people to go to for help and guidance.

Funded by the city council and Clinical Commissioning Group, the hub aims to make it easier for carers to contact the various health services their dependant needs. Councillor Dan Yates, chairman of the health and wellbeing board, said: “We hope that creating a focal point for information, advice and support will make it easier for carers to receive the right support at the right time.”

The hub’s number is 01273 977 000, and its website is carershub.co.uk.
