A MAN has been arrested after a stabbing.
Police were called to Willingdon Road, Eastbourne, on Sunday shortly before 8am.
A 24-year-old had been stabbed and paramedics treated him for multiple wounds. He was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
The man fled the scene and, following a short foot chase, he was arrested in nearby MacMillan Drive. The road was closed for several hours while forensics were carried out.
A 21-year-old man, of no fixed address, arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent, has been released under investigation.
